Tonight: Mississippi Damned in New Orleans with Director Tina Mabry

The New Orléans Afrikan Film and Arts Festival Project is presenting Tina Mabry’s Mississippi Damned tonight, September 16 at 6:30 pm.  Mabry will be in attendance.

Location: The New Orleans African-American Museum

This screening is a sneak preview of the 2011 Mississippi River 9th Ward Film and Arts Festival.  This year’s festival will take place from October 6 – 9.  Click HERE for the schedule.

The Black Film Center/Archive at Indiana University was established in 1981 as the first archival repository dedicated to collecting, preserving, and making available historically and culturally significant films by and about black people.
